William "Scott" Gibson, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, brings over 30 years of comprehensive healthcare experience to his practice.
Over two decades in a Level I Trauma Center, his diverse medical expertise spans general medicine, orthopedics, neurology, infectious disease, trauma, and surgery. During this time, Scott diligently interpreted lab results, administered treatments, educated patients on medications, and offered therapeutic counseling.
With 8 years of independent practice diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, alongside 3 years of internships, Scott is dedicated to addressing common issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, substance abuse, and other behavioral health concerns. His passion, however, lies in the domains of psychopharmacology and psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders.
His most rewarding experiences involve working with patients coping with severe mental illness in community health settings and assisting Veterans dealing with PTSD and substance abuse at the Veterans Administration.
Beyond his professional commitments, Scott finds fulfillment in quality time with his family and pets. He indulges in DIY building and remodeling projects, indulges his passion for art, crafting with glass, exploring vintage cars, and navigating computer/network systems. He prefers a modest life, placing value on personal growth as a clinician.
